Thursday is IPA day!

ipaday2013It is critical that craft beer drinkers remember that this Thursday, August 1st is National IPA day. While several bars, bottle shops and websites will be celebrating this auspicious occasion, National IPA is nothing without a plethora of hop-head drinkers.

If you love the India Pale Ale, if you wish you were born to sail from England to India back when this style was invented, if you value the flavor of bitter IBUs over anything else then this celebration is for you.

Find a local bar or bottle shop, buy a plethora of IPAs this Thursday and by God enjoy the only proof that God loves us; the hop. It is the ingredient that sets beer apart from its alcoholic counterparts and it something work celebrating.

And for those of you on untappd, don’t forget to check into an IPA on National IPA day to get not one but possible two badges in celebration of this occasion.

At the very least don’t forget to celebrate one of the craft beer’s favorite style by having a pint on Thursday. There are so many amazing IPAs to choose from I am hesitant to suggest one.
