There is just too much beer in the world to only taste twice a month. In the spirit of more is better the Blind Tiger podcast team has decided to add samplesodes to the podcast lineup. These mini-episodes will feature only tastings of hopefully unique or exotic beer, often on location to keep your Blind Tiger intake at a more regular interval.
This week Mike, Jesse, and myself traveled to local watering hole, The Fridge, to celebrate a Tired Hands Brewing Company tap takeover! Tired Hands is a fantastic brewery from Ardmore, Pennsylvania that is creating some of the most interesting beers our state has to offer. They are an intentionally small brewery with a huge reputation for creating some of the most compelling farmhouse style beers.
Distribution for Tired Hands is limited which makes it difficult to get your hands on their beer outside the brewery. They have been hand selecting beer establishments that fit their beer philosophy. The Fridge is lucky enough to have been selected to be their Lancaster County representative. Which is great news for the Blind Tiger Podcast crew.
We were at the tap takeover event to get our first experience with Tired Hands and we were all taken aback by how good their beer was. The episode contains our thoughts on the six different beers we got to try.
- Rutilant IPA
- Foliage Double IPA
- Shambolic Dry-Hopped Spelt Saison
- I'm Sad Imperial Honey Coffee Porter
Give the episode a listen and if you are anything like us seriously consider a trip out to Ardmore for a stop at Tired Hands Brewing Company.
