Samplesode 1: Kentucky Breakfast Stout

IMG20130518141124There is just too much beer in the world to only taste twice a month. In the spirit of more is better the Blind Tiger podcast team has decided to add samplesodes to the podcast lineup. These mini-episodes will feature only tasting a single but hopefully unique or exotic beer, often on location to keep your Blind Tiger intake at a more regular interval.

In the first of these samplesodes Mike and I were fortunate to sample Founder’s Kentucky Breakfast Stout. Our local bottle shop, the Fridge, was fortunate to get the only keg of this highly prized beer in all of Lancaster County. On Saturday May 18th, Mike and I attended their exclusive tasting and managed to get our hands on 10oz of this top ten beer.

Listen in as Mike, Janeen, and I share our first impressions of what is, according to beer advocate the fifth best beer in the world!

If you’ve managed to get your hands on this beer let us know if you think it deserves the coveted number five-spot or if it is overrated.

Keep an eye out for the next full episode this Thursday and another samplesode next week.
