Lancaster Homebrew and Iron Hill Brewery are collaborating again to sponsor their second annual homebrew competition. Entries are due January 8th at the beginning of the new year. If you haven’t already started, you could probably pull off a lighter ale in time for submission, but even if you don’t have anything happening in your carboy right now you can always go out to support your fellow homebrewers at the announcement party at Iron Hill Lancaster on the 15th.
The rules are listed on the Lancaster homebrew website. All submissions must be according to BJCP style guidelines. Those winning first place not only get cash prizes in the form of hard currency and a gift certificate to Lancaster Homebrew, but get to brew their winning beer at the Lancaster location of Iron Hill and collaborate with the chef to create a dish inspired by your beer. There are also prizes for second, third, forth, and fifth places.
Start your new year off the right way with a gold medal and good luck to all entrants!
