Originally slated to be open sometime last month, the Columbia Kettle Works has announced an opening by March. The river town brewpub, which has nearly completed construction and has the brewing equipment in place, is located in an old telephone building on N. 3rd Street. Still slated to be on tap are four beers to start, with four additional brews coming on sometime afterwards. The first four are an Oatmeal Chocolate Coffee Stout and an IPA, with two other lighter options, possibly a pale ale and a blond ale.
The brewpub is also going to offer some light food options including everyone’s favorite, paninis. Check out the Columbia Kettle Works Facebook page to see a plethora of pictures summarizing the construction process. It looks like owners Rod Smith and Bill Collister have been hard at work and we here at the Blind Tiger wish them the best of luck!
